I've had pretty good luck with contractors for most of my life (knock on

wood), but have finally been ripped off.

I hired a landscaping company to do a lot of work here in the spring, and then paid for ongoing weeding visits.

Before choosing them in the first place, I did do my research. In business since 1995, local, A+ rating from the BBB.

Sometime in the last few weeks, they quietly went out of business, stiffing me on 3 paid for but not yet done weeding visits. Probably not worth trying to pursue any small claims, etc.
